How to create a partial delivery and partial invoice?

It is possible to deliver and/or invoice orders in parts. This can be done in two ways: not all lines of a sales order are delivered or invoiced at once, or not all quantities of a line are delivered or invoiced at once.

Not delivering or invoicing all lines at once

Select the lines that need to be delivered or invoiced and add them to the packing slip or invoice to be created. The remaining lines will remain open in MKG to be delivered or invoiced at a later time.

Not delivering or invoicing all quantities at once

When only a part of the quantities is reported ready from the production order, these (partial) quantities can be delivered. When creating the packing slip or invoice, you can also choose a lower quantity than stated on the line.

When opting for a partial delivery or partial invoicing, MKG will keep the remaining quantity open.

The quantities yet to be delivered or invoiced will be shown in the sales order in the 'Create Packing Slip' and 'Invoice' columns. If not all quantities in the production order have been reported as ready, these remaining quantities will only become visible in the 'Create Packing Slip' column once they are reported as ready.

It is possible to perform multiple partial deliveries and partial invoices per order line.

For MKG5: options for delivery and invoicing
You can choose how much you want to deliver or invoice per order in the 'General' tab. By default, the data is taken from the settings recorded on the customer. You are allowed to deviate from these settings per order.
The following three options are possible:

  • Only total order. Only the entire order can be delivered and/or invoiced.
  • Only total lines. Only lines with complete quantities can be delivered and/or invoiced. However, a line can be delivered or invoiced separately.
  • No restrictions.  Quantities of a line can be delivered and/or invoiced in parts, for example, from line 1: 20 pieces out of 50 pieces.
